The Small Business Center‘s primary focus is to help increase small business retention rates in Dekalb County. Nearly 700 thousand small businesses are started each year, yet approximately 50% of these businesses fail in less than four years1. Community growth is largely dependent on the retention and growth of local businesses. Therefore, it is important to monitor the health and expectations of these existing businesses and to understand the root causes that adversely impact their growth.
